The Quest Institute
When I was a 21-year old Kickboxer, I left the crowd I was training with (where I had all-too-quickly become the
main fighter) and started with a new Instructor called Dev Barrett, where the established fighters looked at me
like I was something they had trodden in. At Dev's I was way down the food chain, but I learned quickly and
well.
I believe if you want to be the best, you have to train with the
best.
Therefore I am proud to have trained with Trevor and Rebecca Silvester of the Quest Institute. Trevor is the
founder of Cognitive Hypnotherapy, an internationally renowned author and trainer - and an exceptional
therapist in his own right, with 20 years experience. He has trained hundreds of therapists in his unique,
respectful style.
TQI is an organization and group of like-minded people for whom ethics, respect and dignity are principles not
buzz-words. I spent years looking for the right, reputable place to train, and the best, most honest people to
train with. Once I'd discovered the Quest Institute I knew instantly that I'd found what I'd been looking for, and
everything I have learned since has reinforced that belief.
Hypnotherapy, a bit like Martial Arts, is riddled with people who have the 'one true way'. Their way is the only
way, and if they can't help you that's probably your fault. Trevor Silvester's approach could not be more
different. He works tirelessly, researching many different fields and techniques. The questions he asks are simply
'Is this respectful and ethical?' and 'Does it work'. If the answer to these questions is 'Yes' then he will find a
way to teach it to others.
Quest-trained therapists are trained to meet the client in their 'Model of The World'. Basically that means that
we adapt our tools and experience to suit your issue - not the other way around. We know that one size does not fit
all and your treatment will be specifically designed around you. Made-to-measure instead of off-the-shelf. This
makes us refreshingly different. Don't take my word for it - ask around.
But perhaps the greatest gift that Quest gives to it's graduates is the ongoing support network. This means I
have access at my fingertips to more than 200 fellow therapists, with tens of thousands of hours of
experience.
Please feel free to check out the Quest Institute on www.questinstitute.co.uk . I am confident you will be suitably
impressed. You will find no hard sell. You will find no nonsense. You may just find stuff that will change your
life!
